Good Afternoon,



The Shawnee County Solid Waste Department is again planning a public tire
collection event to be held on April 25, 2020.



As in years past, we are authorizing community groups such as yours to
collect from residents in your area.



We do have some conditions that will need to be met:



   1. A limit of 5 tires per household will be enforced.
   2. We will accept tires from passenger vehicles as well as small and
   medium passenger trucks.  *No large truck or tractor tires will be
   accepted.*
   3. The collection of tires in the neighborhood will be certified by the
   president or his/her designee of the organization.
   4. A list showing the number of tires per household along with the zip
   code is to be turned in at the time of delivery (Copy Enclosed).
   5. The name of the group, president’s name, area boundaries, and the
   name of the delivery person shall be provided at the time of delivery.
   6. Additional copies of the list can be made if needed.



*Absolutely no tires will be accepted from tire dealers or commercial
businesses.*



Your cooperation in this endeavor is appreciated as it will contribute to
the success of this event and will help determine if similar tire events
will be held in the future.
