Hello neighbors,

We are excited to report that the College Hill neighborhood recycling
drive this past weekend (Saturday, April 1) brought in an amazing $261.00!
(No fooling!) Way to go, College Hill neighbors!

Here are the amounts we collected and were paid:
              Aluminum cans--383 lbs. @ 55 cents/lb.
                                               $210.65
              Misc. metals ("Shred #3 Loose Metal")--560 lbs. @ 9
cents/lb. 50.40
              ATM rounding (+.35-.40 = -.05)
                                                            --.05
              *TOTAL $261.00 !!!*
     * This recycling drive was the second-most lucrative one of any that
College Hill has had in 22-1/2 years of recycling! * We had excellent
participation from many of our recycling "regulars," as well as from some
neighbors who hadn't recycled with us very much or at all before. Plus,
neighbors are doing a great job at separating the recyclables the way the
recycling company needs them to do.
Since the neighborhood recycling drives began in September 1990,
our College Hill Association has received *$15,503.98* from recycling!
We thank and appreciate very much all the people who contributed
their recyclables.
Many thanks also to the dear neighbor friends who helped to pick up
and drop off the recyclables: Susan Duffy; Frank and Sarah Meadows; Ardith
and Greg Woertz; and John Christensen. They have faithfully helped with
recycling for many, many years, and we appreciate them very much!
Our next recycling drive will be *Saturday, July 8*. Be sure to
save your aluminum cans for the neighborhood. We also collect miscellaneous
metals, such as copper and bronze, metal piping, and wiring. If you have
items to pick up before the next drive please reach out the Christensens at
785-554-8068.
Thank you College Hill!!
