TOPEKA FIRE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCEMENT – FIRE EMS CADET



The Topeka Fire Department is seeking individuals to attend a paid
internship to become an Emergency Medical Technician and learn different
aspects of the fire service in preparation for a potential career as a
Topeka Firefighter.  Selected candidates will work and be paid for up to 30
hours per week.  The internship will include participation in a department
sponsored Emergency Medical Technician class.  To become a Topeka
Firefighter applicants must have completed the Emergency Medical Technician
course, this internship will offer the opportunity to take this class at no
cost while being paid as an intern.  Selected interns will work Monday
through Friday.



The minimum requirements for the internship are as follows:

-Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.

-Candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent

-Candidate must have a desire to help others.
