I feel there are a couple vaccine clinics that are not receiving much
traffic and that people may not know much about them.

The Hi-Crest and Open Arms Outreach both have the one-dose Johnson and
Johnson vaccine and Hi-Crest at least posted they do not require an
appointment or an ID! This is huge!

Subject: Media Release: Health Department Promotes Childhood Immunizations

*Topeka, Kan.* ?. Many families? routines were disrupted throughout the
past year because of COVID-19 ? including having regular checkups and
receiving recommended vaccinations.

The week of April 24 ? May 1 is National Infant Immunization Week and the
Shawnee County Health Department (SCHD) is taking this opportunity to
encourage Shawnee County families to check with their doctors and review
immunization records to ensure that their children are all caught up on
recommended vaccinations.



Immunizations are available at the SCHD by appointment for children 18
years of age and younger. *Appointments may be scheduled by calling the
SCHD ? Immunization Clinic at 785.251.5700.*



Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and everyone entering the
building over the age of 2 must wear a mask. Masks will be available at the
building entrance.

Please bring only those needed to receive vaccinations in order to help
limit the number of individuals in the facility at a time.



If an individual is in need of their vaccination records they may call SCHD
? Medical Records at 785.251.5621

Join us *Saturday, May 1 (May Day!) for our annual College Hill Blossoms
garden sale from 8:00-11:00 a.m.* You'll find hanging baskets, big potted
plants, a small silent auction, and your choice of fine coffees provided by
Circle Coffee. All proceeds go to the College HIll neighborhood. Call a
friend, make a date and put it on your calendar. Bring a lawn chair and
plan to stay for a visit! (Picture is Sue, Sue and Kari who planted the
pots in March).
