Subject: Bus passes available for USD 501 high schools and 4 middle schools
To:

*TOPEKA, KAN. (October 6, 2020) *– Now that USD 501 is back in school on
site, Topeka Metro can transport USD 501 high schoolers and middle school
students to school. Students can obtain a FREE bus pass from their school
office.

USD 501 has purchased Topeka Metro bus passes for students in the district.
If a student wants a pass, they must visit their school’s main office to
obtain one. Students must show the bus pass when boarding. Passes are good
throughout the school year at any time the fixed route buses are
running. (Note:
French and Jardine Middle schools are not included because bus routes don't
serve those areas). Having a bus pass is a sure way to make it to school on
time!

Topeka General Manager Bob Nugent said, "We're pleased to collaborate again
with the USD 501 administration to offer students transportation. If the
kids don't have a ride to school or their vehicle isn't working, having
these passes ensures that they do get to school, and on time. Once a
student obtains a pass from their school, they are guaranteed to have a
ride with Topeka Metro for the duration of the school year."

Call Topeka Metro's customer service if you need assistance finding out
which bus route to get on at 783-7000. Information is also on our website
