[College Hill Topeka] College Hill Clean Up Tomorrow 8-12

As a reminder the College Hill Clean Up is tomorrow, Saturday April 27th
from 8-12. A dumpster will be provided in Boswell Park to accept garbage.

Please be kind to our volunteers and do not bring items we cannot accept or
leave items when volunteers are not present.

We are unable to accept yard waste, tires, toilets, or hazardous waste like
paint, chemicals, pesticides, lawn chemicals, and batteries.

Please note there are other opportunities to get rid of unwanted items:


   - Free Confidential Paper Shred April 27, Crestview Park Shelter, 4901
   SW Shunga, 10 am - Noon.
   - Yard Waste June 1, Garick Yard Waste Facility, I-70 & MacVicar, 8 am -
   4:30 pm
   - Free Landfill Day June 15, Rolling Meadows Landfill, 7351 NW US
   Highway 75, 7 am - Noon. 1 load per household.
   - Donation Consider donating certain household items to non-profits like
   Topeka Habitat Restore. Visit website

If you are interested in volunteering at the dumpster to help people unload
items or you plan on picking up trash in an alley or two (or more) please
contact Ben Alford at 785-633-2351.
We are partnering with Keep America Beautiful this year and need to report
our volunteer hours to them for grant funding purposes.
