*Topeka Metro Celebrates Local Volunteers *

In conjunction with National Volunteer Week, Topeka Metro will celebrate
local volunteers by offering free rides April 6 through April 11.

Volunteers will receive unlimited free rides on the fixed routes and Lift
passengers will receive up to two free rides per day.

Volunteers must present a volunteer photo ID to the bus operator upon
boarding.

If a photo ID is not available, passengers may present a letter
acknowledging their volunteer service along with an alternate photo ID upon
boarding.

The letter must be on company letterhead and signed by a company official.

“Volunteers are the lifeblood of many agencies in Topeka. We want to honor
those who donate their time and effort to volunteer to help others in our
community,” said Topeka Metro General Manager Susan Duffy.

So, hop on the bus and take a FREE ride on Topeka Metro the week of April
16th! For route and schedule information, visit or contact Customer Service
